Claude & Brenda

Owners since 2002…

After 6 years of attendance at the Lafreniere Farm, Claude & Brenda decided to take over.

Over the years and growth of Dorelies, Brenda took charge of everything related to administrating the farm, phone calls, marketing, making appointments, everything that is intrinsic to the management of the farm…

Claude by his farming profession, deals with the management of the land, the proper functioning of the machinery, trail maintenance, repair of all that needs to be restored, woodcutter, mechanist, hay producer, etc…

With her experience and knowledge of horses and of the land surrounding us, Marie Claude (ex-owner) continues to share her wisdom acquired from her grandfather, creating opportunities and new development of how the farm can be managed.
She always has something to help contribute and a "trick question" to help us to reason, therefore, to grow in collusion with our 4 legged friends…

Summer hay

Over time, young people (often students) are formed, work here, go back to school and come back for the summer. Some join for special events, making their presence balm to the heart.

Being young and full of resources brings us talents helping with the growth of farm, internet website, pictures/videos, optimistic energy at the summer camp, and hard work during yearlong weekends whether the weather is pretty or not…

This is without talking about chores: summer hay, wood during the winter, maintenance of electric cables, pasture in spring, oiling horse equipment before the start of each season, the equine hygiene through showers in spring and fall, not to mention refreshing it daily during summer, the lawn, curry, saddle, bridle horses every day and cleaning out their hooves!!!

Year after year, new kids join us to replace those who leave for new adventures, always creating an environment of newly formed loyalty. From lumberjack, we pass by the instructors, guides, hunting support, event ringleaders, the mechanic, handyman, farmer, the flower lover and the cook assistant!!!
Ghislain, Ally, Tim, Jonathan, Vincent, Alexandre, Yan, Marie France, Saint Pierre & Sylvie and many more… Thank you seems so little…

Without forgetting our beautiful ladies Tania, Aryann et Rachel
These girls do not cut corners with the care of livestock; even the veterinary was surprised at the quality of several cases after monitoring them. Devoted, open minded, versatility, amusing, resourcefulness, good will for none so pleasant tasks, they are a diamonds to the farm.

Alain's… a man of the city that flourished through our "Green Acres". Visionary, active participation in our projects, technical support for computers, he is a man we cannot do without! Scientific profession, his sense of observation and suggestion are much appreciated. He is always available to assist customers, be advised, he loves anecdotes.

For over 3 years, Jacques has been involved in the maintenance of the premises. Cleanliness of buildings, fence replacements, painting and he ensures the proper functioning of the electricity in the fields. No matter the job Jacques will keep his smile and be cheerful while doing what has to be done. An indispensable man.
